With over 2000 square feet of open patio, Skyway offers true spaciousness. The large pool is 24' x 13' and 4' to 8' deep. In addition to gentle entry steps into the pool, there is a seating ledge along one side for a relaxing soak.

There is no chlorine used in Skyway's fresh water pool with the NaCl system, a process in which salt is converted through ionization. No odor or feel of chlorine.

|
The pool deck tiled barbeque area includes a fridge with ice maker, double sinks, and a large Lynx barbeque / rotisserie. Here, guests have two dining options, one on either side of the barbeque area.

The hot tub is a top of the line 6 to 7 person Sundance Spa, only steps away from the pool and barbeque area. It also has a sunset view.

The Ipe Pergola has variable lighting for your evening dining and sunset viewing. Near the barbeque, pool and spa area is a large, outdoor shower. Two of the five bedrooms are located near this area, also offering fabulous views.

The two southern, 17' by 24' expansive bedrooms are in a separate, two story building off the Pergola and pool deck. Each has large, opening windows to catch the breezy tradewinds and enjoy the sunsets. All bedrooms at Skyway are air conditioned for those rare nights when needed.

The southern bedrooms are equal with large baths and an open dressing / closet room. Each bedroom at Skyway has a Bose iPod docking station and telephone.

The southern bedroom ensuite baths have double vanities, complemented with beautiful granite counters.

The spacious 8 foot by 8 foot showers have wonderful views through the large, opening windows.

Although Skyway enjoys various outdoor dining areas, the indoor dining area is also appealing. The large, mahogany dining table seats ten. Sliding glass and screen doors open to a lovely garden with a flowing fountain.

A perfect spot for those who desire a break from the sun in the afternoon, tradewind breezes are cooling in this shaded garden area. Skyway has over 1000 square feet of covered deck.

The beautifully furnished great room opens to the pool deck on the west, to the shaded garden near the dining room to the east, and to the breezeway and cocktail deck to the north. The handsome living room includes a 40' inch flat screen LCD Sony Bravia TV with Dish network satellite service. Skyway has almost 4000 square feet of enclosed living space.

Preparing meals at Skyway does not take you away from being part of the party. The kitchen is open to the living room and dining room. Keep the chef company relaxing at the granite bar.

The modern kitchen with granite counters includes an island with gas stove top. Stainless steel electric oven, microwave, dishwasher and the usual small kitchen appliances complete the area.

|
The breezeway and cocktail area is shaded from the afternoon sun and overlooks the western tip of St. John, Pillsbury Sound, St. Thomas, and in the distance, Puerto Rico, Vieques and Culebra.

The air conditioned queen master bedroom and ensuite bath with bidet are on the main level. The screened, sliding glass doors open to the deck. There are full blinds for privacy.

The fourth queen bedroom on the main level is perfect for children. The bath is just a couple of steps outside, which also makes it a perfect pool deck bathroom.
|
|
|
|
|
Parking for guests who like the freedom of having multiple rental cars is not a problem. The stamped upper driveway accommodates parking for four vehicles, and the lower level driveway ends at the two car parking space.
|
|
The site for Skyway was chosen 37 years ago when any location on St. John was available. It is the highest point on the westerly side of the island with panoramic views of St. Thomas, St. Croix, Vieques, Culebra and Pillsbury Sound.

Downstairs on the lower level is a queen bedroom apartment with a small kitchen, living and dining areas, bath and two private decks. There is also a day bed in the living room perfect for a child or single adult. The apartment also has its own entertainment center.
